Our Mentoring Programs Help Change Young Lives

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Australia provides long-term, one-to-one mentoring to help change the course of vulnerable young people’s lives.

Young people today face challenges such as discrimination, economic disadvantage, gender inequality, mental illness and much more.

Thanks to your support we are able to run a range of community-based, online and in-school mentoring programs that help vulnerable young people overcome these challenges and build a better future for themselves.

    See the ‘Big Five’ At Kruger National Park

    Day 1 – Johannesburg

    Arrive at OR Tambo, meet-and-greet transfer to your hotel. Afternoon guided Soweto tour. Overnight: Protea Hotel Wanderers.

    Day 2 & 3 – Mpumalanga

    After breakfast, brief Pretoria orientation, then travel via Dullstroom, Lydenburg, Long Tom Pass and Sabie to Hazyview (Kruger hub). Overnight: Perry’s Bridge Hollow (3 nights).

    Time in the Hazyview/Kruger region . Overnight: Perry’s Bridge Hollow.

    Day 4 – Kruger National Park

    Visit Kruger National Park for an early open-vehicle safari with ranger and packed breakfast; search for the Big Five (rhino, buffalo, lion, leopard, and elephant) and abundant wildlife. Optional late-afternoon game drive available.

    Eswatini, Zululand and Durban

    Day 5 – Eswatini (Swaziland)

    Cross into Eswatini for an interactive cultural experience, travelling via Mbabane to the scenic Ezulwini Valley. Overnight: Royal Swazi Sun Hotel.

    Day 6 – Zululand

    Continue south via Eswatini back into South Africa and on to Zululand. Afternoon open-vehicle safari in Hluhluwe–Imfolozi Game Reserve, famed for its rhino conservation. Overnight: Anew Hotel Hluhluwe.

    Day 7 – Tour End (Durban)

    Morning cruise on Lake St Lucia (weather permitting), then drive past traditional Zulu kraals and plantations to Durban. Tour ends on arrival in the early afternoon.
